It is long about 380 km immersed in Mediterranean nature, among the gentle ups and downs of the hills that characterize much of the region.
The Via Francigena in Tuscany starts from the Apuan Alps and descends along the Versilia coast to Lucca. It then goes to the center of the region in the valleys of Altopascio and Fucecchio to turn south again near San Giminignano and Gambassi Terme.

It crosses the historical center of Siena, surpasses Val d’Arbia and Val d’Orcia and ends in San Quirico a few kilometers from the border with Lazio.
Along the way you can visit ancient churches and cathedrals and discover the typical gastronomic specialties of the Tuscan territory. Not to be missed is also the numerous fortified villages and small town unknown to mass tourism.
